I’ll be speaking at the upcoming ICON5 Illustration Conference in New York over July 4th Weekend. I’ll be joining Gedeon Maheux and Von Glitschka to talk about “The Art and Science of
Icon Illustration”. If you’re going to be at the conference, definitely stop and say hello!

Lunchbox Scavengers

Jelly Garden
I always like to play with freeform shapes when I doodle in my sketchbook, so I’ve tied some of that together with a bit of color exploration that’s out of my normal range. It ended up creating a surreal landscape with a mysterious girl, although I’ll let you figure out why she’s in the garden.
Zog Production Update: Wax Model
Things are getting close now, it looks like we are on schedule and just hit the wax mold stage of production.
The wax model will be used to produce the production molds that the vinyl will be injected into. So we’re getting very close to having a final product!
Bad Comma
I recently finished an illustration for a German company that specializes in proof-reading copy for publications. It roughly says, “A comma in the wrong place can be a dangerous thing”.
Sticker Icons Pack 2
More sticker icons for you to decorate your computer with! I’ve added about 40 new application icons in the second add-on pack. Download via the Iconfactory.
Space Doggy Painted
One of my favorite digital drawings from when I first started is Space Doggy so to practice my painting some I decided to do a painted version for my own walls.
Zog production update : wax sculpt
I wasn’t entirely sure how translating my drawings into a vinyl toy would work out, but I knew it would be fun. At the same time, I didn’t want to get my hopes up too much just in case.
Now I can definitely say that I haven’t been this excited since Christmas morning when I was little. I could barely sit down for a few hours after I saw how the sculpting was coming along! They hit it spot on and I doubt there will be too many tweaks needed at all, although it’s still a bit weird to see something you’ve made cross from 2d to 3d.
